In a world where strength often steals the spotlight, women drive the moving and storage industry forward, largely behind the scenes. Celebrating Women’s History Month, we’d like to introduce you to Kirsten Pitrizzi, Vice President of Hopkins & Sons.
Kirsten didn't stumble into the moving industry by chance. She became a Hopkins & Sons team member in January 2000, when her husband, Mark, asked her to join his family’s company. He was a driver and on the road at that time. Kirsten went on the road with him and absorbed it all, forging a deep understanding of the challenges faced by movers daily. From packing boxes to navigating interstate moves, she gained hands-on insights into the operational side of things.
This experience proved invaluable when Kirsten and Mark left the road to work at the Hopkins headquarters. Kirsten started as the receptionist and went on to coordinate interstate moves. Her past work experience running offices prepared her well for her current role, managing HR, payroll and bookkeeping, which has a positive impact on our company and our clients.
Committed to community service, Kirsten and Mark met as volunteer firefighters. They were married for three years before Kirsten joined him at Hopkins & Sons. Mark’s mother, Cathy Hopkins Grieco, who was the president of the company at that time, asked her to come on board.
"At Hopkins & Sons, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusion. With our all-female packing crew, we recognize the invaluable contributions of women in every aspect of our operations. We understand that sometimes, a woman's presence can ease the stress of moving, offering comfort and understanding during life's most-challenging times, like divorce or loss. We welcome and encourage female applicants in all roles, knowing that they can make a world of difference, not just in the moving process, but in the lives of our customers.” - Kirsten Pitrizzi, Vice President, Hopkins & Sons
At Hopkins & Sons, our commitment to excellence extends beyond our services. We prioritize customer satisfaction and employee well-being. With a legacy of long-time team members and familial ties, we uphold values that truly set us apart.

We have fathers and sons, and brothers who work here together. We’re all part of the family."- Kirsten Pitrizzi, Vice President, Hopkins & sons
When she’s not busy working, Kirsten enjoys the simple pleasures of life, spending time with her husband and their beloved rescue bulldog, Charlotte. They are also passionate about travel, boating and the beach.
